This is the worst tape I ever tried working on, mainly because after the promising start of the first 2-3 songs the tape, it just went downhill, fast. It’s a mud festival as you go on, to the point where at least I can’t even make out what anyone is really saying towards the last 30 minutes at least.
Levels all over the map. Even during the same song. Did my best but gave up even trying to id songs after a while. The tape was just likely one that lost oxide over time, even though it played and we cleaned heads as we went as well. It’s a nightmare and really, short of the guy having a copy to remember it by, not much use save the first part. There was no highs or mids or low mids to grab when it got bad. Seriously.
